1. Engagement & Billing Structure
Initial Engagement Retainer: A $400 non-refundable retainer is required to initiate services and formally engage Dr. Lee. This retainer is applied directly toward the initial case merit review and preliminary drafting.
Billing Increments: All subsequent case analysis, medical record review, and legal consultation are tracked and billed in 30-minute (0.5-hour) increments.
2. Milestone Payment Terms
To preserve clinical objectivity and adhere to expert witness industry best practices, services are invoiced at distinct project milestones. Payment in full must be received prior to the release of final deliverables or testimony.
Preliminary Case Review - Invoiced upon receipt of initial case records. Payment via the $400 initial retainer.
Signed Declarations & Reports - Invoiced upon completion of the draft document. Payment due prior to the release of the final signed document.
Deposition & Trial Testimony - Invoiced upon scheduling of the dates of appearance. Payment due prior to the date of the testimony appearance.
